The Community Continence service are currently looking for interested candidates to support them to design their Patient Information Leaflet to raise awareness of Continence Promotion within the Western Trust area.
Background
Community Continence Services are provided under the division of Community & Older Peoples Services throughout the Western Trust. The Community Continence Service provides specialist support, advice and treatment for individuals experiencing bladder and bowel issues. Our aim is to promote continence, improve quality of life and support self- management through education and tailored intervention. We work closely with patients, carers and healthcare professional to offer holistic, person centred care in the community. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have developed a new continence promotion leaflet and are seeking feedback to ensure it meets the needs of those who use our service.
The Community Continence Service encompasses disciplines such as:
- Community Continence Nurse Specialists
- Community Urology Nurse Specialists
- Community Continence Advisors
- Senior Nursing Assistants
- Administration staff
- Business Services Organisation
- Community Nursing
What to expect
Participation would be on a voluntary basis and travel costs will be covered. The Involvement Team will provide on-going support and guidance. You will also gain experience, learn new skills and an opportunity to have a voice in how the Western Trust promotes Community Continence Services.
