Enhanced Patient Care Observation (ECPO) Working Group

Location: South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust

The Enhanced Patient Care Observation (EPCO) Working Group within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust are inviting Service User and Carer/family representatives who have an experience of requiring ongoing one to one observation to keep you or your family member safe during an inpatient stay in a hospital or long-term care setting to become members of the group.

We welcome new members who are:

  • A Service User who has experience of ongoing one to one observation
  • A Carer/family member of a service user who has experience of ongoing one to one observation
  • Both Service User and their Carer/family member together

As a member of the group you will be an equal voice and partner and in discussion about the observation tool being used, and how to support early recognition and care of a patient who has become distressed in a hospital or long-term care environment.

Meetings are once a month for up to 90 minutes and are either online (MS Teams) or in-person at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.
