This event will bring together practitioners, educators, youth workers, community organisations, and key stakeholders to explore learning, good practice, and collaborative approaches to ending violence against women and girls.
The programme will include:
- A welcome address from Cara Hunter MLA
- An opening performance from Rainbow Youth Action
- Keynotepresentationsfromexpertsincluding Dr Susan Lagdon(Ulster University),Michelle Alonso(Domestic Violence Advocacy Service),Marie Brown(Women’s Aid)andTahnee McCorry(White Ribbon NI)
- An expert panel and audience Q&A session, featuring Dr Susan Lagdon, Dr Caroline Forde, Marie Brown, and Sharon Coyle, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with specialists working across research, support services, and advocacy in the field of ending violence against women and girls.
- Networking opportunities throughout the day
- A range of afternoon workshops covering topics such as domestic abuse awareness, economic abuse, hope-based conversations, and the relationship between addiction and violence against women and girls (facilitators consisting of Michelle Alonso (DVAS), Marie Dunne (Resilio), Sharon Coyle (SEA) and Tommy Canning (Northlands Addiction Treatment Centre).
