What is the Patient Care Service (PCS)?
The Patient Care Service provides non-emergency transport for people who need assistance travelling to and from healthcare appointments. This includes outpatient appointments, treatments, diagnostic services and other healthcare-related journeys.
Why are we seeking feedback?
We want to better understand the experiences of people who use the Patient Care Service, including:
- Booking and arranging transport
- Communication with the service
- Experiences during journeys
- Accessibility and support requirements
- Timeliness and reliability
- Overall satisfaction with the service
The feedback received will help inform future service improvements and support NIAS in ensuring the Patient Care Service continues to meet the needs of those who rely on it.
Who Can Take Part?
We are particularly keen to hear from:
- Current and recent users of the Patient Care Service
- Family members and carers
- Older people
- People living with disabilities
- Individuals living with long-term health conditions
- People living in rural communities
- Communities who may experience barriers to accessing healthcare services
Accessible Ways to Take Part
We want to ensure everyone can share their experience. In addition to the online survey:
- Paper copies are available on request
- Easy Read versions are available on request
- Surveys can be completed through a facilitated telephone conversation
