Falls Prevention Steering Group – Service User/Carers Call Out

Location: Western Health and Social Care Trust

The Western Falls Prevention Steering Group was established over 10 years ago to improve and promote awareness around falls prevention in the Western Health and Social Care Trust. The group has developed a number of falls prevention resources including booklets, leaflets and videos and wishes to continue this great work. We would like to ensure those who are affected by falls are at the centre of this work and their views and opinions are incorporated into future work.

We are looking for people who may be at risk of falling, those who have had a fall or experience of loved ones falling, to help us understand what information is most important to them in terms of falls prevention, the most appropriate channels to receive this information and ensure the information is easy to understand and accessible to everyone.

There is no specific time commitment required but we may get in contact with you to ask if you would be willing to:

  • Work with us to co-produce falls information leaflets, booklets or websites
  • Review and give feedback on falls information we produce to ensure our leaflets, booklets or websites are accessible to those who are at risk of falling
  • Sit on our Western Falls Prevention Steering Group and provide feedback from your lived experience

If you are passionate about increasing awareness of falls and how they can be prevented, and would like to get involved, please contact us.

Please send your name and contact details to: involve@westerntrust.hscni.net

We will use this information to get in touch with you about any opportunities to get involved in the next 12 months.
