CHOICE – Opportunities for People with Mental Illness

Location: Belfast Health and Social Care Trust

Who is CHOICE for?

CHOICE is open to people who:

  • Are aged 18 or over
  • Live in Northern Ireland
  • Have experience of long-term severe mental health conditions

What does CHOICE do?

Participants will engage with one of our community navigators who will support them to find and access activities and places in their local area. These can include, sports/leisure centres, education or training courses, arts and cultural spaces – things that they may be interested in but for various reasons have found difficult to access.

How to refer to CHOICE

If you know someone who may be interested:

  • You can share the attached participant information sheet and leaflet with them
  • Referrals can be made by professionals, voluntary and community sector organisations, or by someone supporting a friend or family member.
  • Individuals can also self-refer
  • Visit our website to access the online referral form here: Take Part – CHOICE or email us at CHOICE@ulster.ac.uk
