PHA pre-consultation for suicide and post-vention services

Get involved

The Public Health Agency (PHA) wishes to work with people who have a role in helping reduce levels of suicide. This includes those who feel they have an interest in or concern about suicide/suicide prevention. Individuals or organizations may take part, for example someone who has used suicide/suicide prevention services, their family or carers, community/voluntary groups, statutory/government organisations or political parties.

Project overview

The Public Health Agency (PHA) is seeking the views of people to take part in a pre-consultation on future suicide prevention and post-vention services. This is part of the PHA's role in the Protect Life 2 suicide prevention strategy, launched by the Department of Health in 2019. In order for the PHA to develop future services to meet the actions in this strategy, it is important to review current services and most importantly listen to the views of service users, local communities and other organisations delivering services, through this pre-consultation process. The pre-consultation period will include opportunities for people to provide feedback by registering their interest to take part either by completing the online survey or by taking part in a number of online facilitated events targeting each of the Health and Social Care Trust areas in Northern Ireland. The pre-consultation findings will inform a fuller public consultation on proposed future services.
